Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 (also known as Pes10) is the umpteenth installment in the beloved football/soccer gaming series, created by the gaming genius known only as 'Seabass.'
Without a doubt Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 is the most balanced game in the whole series. Too often in the past players had to rely on dribbling the ball round defenders and playing 1-2's to score goals. Very wee goals were ever scored by crossing the ball in and getting a player to header it in. Unfortunately, this is not the way that football is in real life, and in the real world goals are scored from all kinds of angles and all separate ways.
But has this had a good effect? Have Konami sacrificed fun for realism? Many population that I have spoken to have one day confessed their undying love for the game, and the next sworn bitter hatred against it. The key complaint is that the game is too random and unpredictable. This may just be down to the fact that there have been some (much needed) major changes to the game, and that population will need time to adjust to them, or it may be that the game simply isn't as good as its predecessors.
The second major change made to the game was adding in 360 degree player movement. In the past, players could only move in 8 separate directions around the pitch, and this has truly made the game feel more fluid and life-like. Obviously it will be a while before we can truly judge the game properly, but first impressions are good, despite a few flaws.
